Several visually impaired young adults who were among founders of Association of Visually Impaired in Education created an email group named "Visually Impaired Students Platform" in 2009. The purpose of creating this group was constructing an online platform that visually impaired students could offer solutions related to their own problems and share sources and materials. The platform was adopted by users in short time and evolved from being a information sharing platform to producing solution recommendations. In 2011, by noticing the importance of local organizations, the system of city agency was started to constitute. In the 28th of January 2013, Association of Visually Impaired in Education was founded.
